Description: The Midlands Center for Expressive Arts is proud to sponsor “Run for a Bullyproof’d Midlands” Family Fitness 5K Run/Walk as a part of MCEA’s 2nd Annual Anti-Bullying event in honor of International Stand up to Bullying Day. Bullyproof’d will take place on November 17, 2012 at Earlewood Park 1111 Parkside Drive, Columbia, SC 29201. The run will take place in the Earlewood community immediately following the 9am kick-off ceremony in Earlewood Park. Proceeds from this event will be used to assist local anti-bullying efforts and aspiring writers and performance artists pursue careers in the arts. Registration begins at 8am and the run will commence immediately following the kick-off ceremony at 9am. The cost for walkers is $15, $25 for runners, and $30 for runners who would like an event t-shirt. Online registration is available at the via the Strictly Running's website, www.strictlyrunning.com. T he Midlands Center for Expressive Arts is a non-profit arts organization housed in the Columbia area. MCEA’s mission is to provide training, performance opportunities, and business assistance to aspiring writers and performing artists. Each year, MCEA sponsors training programs for students and adults, artist showcases, a Summer Arts Camp for middle and high school students, and an annual anti-bullying rally and forum.
